Meet Linda, Head of Content Marketing at The Adventure People

Based at Tripod in Brixton, SW2 1RW

Whether you're looking to trek Machu Picchu, cycle Vietnam, go camping in Iceland or road trip in America, The Adventure People have you covered. Originally founded in 2015, this world-wise company serves as a platform for adventure holidays and tours, bypassing large tour operators by connecting people to local people, guides and adventure providers. On their website you can browse a range of adventures, from surfing to safari, and learn more about the different destinations they cover through in-depth travel blogs and videos.

The Adventure People are based at our Creative and Digital Industries enterprise hub Tripod in Brixton. With it's stylish exposed brick walls, quirky patterning, exotic plants and terrarium roof, we're not surprised that this is the perfect workspace for this free-spirited bunch!

Today we meet Linda Ersbacken, Head of Content at The Adventure People:

What do you or your team do?

The Adventure People is a platform for adventure holidays.  We work with leading adventure operators around the world and feature their adventure trips on our website.  At theadventurepeople.com you can search between thousands of adventure holidays, and book at the best prices.

What makes your business unique or special?

We work directly with local tour operators around the world. This is great for the customers as we can keep the prices down by cutting out the middlemen, and it's great for the local communities as we support local employment.

Describe a typical day for you?

I'm the Head of Content Marketing, and we're focusing a large part of our marketing on our Youtube channel. Day to day I'm responsible for deciding which videos to record, often we answer customer's questions or interview adventurers. I then film everything in our little in-office studio and edit it together. We want to create really engaging content which we think sets us apart from our competitors.

If you could interview one person in your industry, who would it be and why?

We interview a lot of cool adventurers already, people who have climbed Mount Everest and swam the English Channel for example. But if there's one I'd love to interview it's probably Alastair Humphreys. He's written a book called Grand Adventures, which is all about how anyone can start going on adventures. It'd be so inspiring, I think our viewers would love it!
