Meanwhile In Finchley Road is a place to make things happen, test your ideas, trial your projects, fail and to try again in a visible, creative and supportive environment. It’s a place to work together with experienced and start up meanwhilers and people in the creative industries.

A former restaurant awaiting development in the Finchley Road 02 centre will become a flexible space to work, build your business alongside others and gain from on hand support from Meanwhile Space and New Deal of the Mind. WIFI enabled, shopping centre frontage, prime street frontage. Our budget is based on a certain combination of rate costs, utilities, management and making sure it is still affordable for independents, social enterprises and charities.

How to get involved:

This is an amazing opportunity to use a fantastic space in a buzzing location while it awaits development. Meanwhile Space CIC have the space for 6 months and want to offer you the chance to use it. Anything can happen, limited only by imagination!

How it works:

We have the space for 6+ months until a the centre starts development of the space

We need to bring in £4000 per month to have the space – how we do this is up to you.

1. We gather your ideas and suggestions for how the space will work. All suggestions welcome; practical, crazy, sensible and fun
2. With your help, and making/using what is available, we get the best/most workable ideas to happen together
3. You submit your short proposal (available from jcb@meanwhilespace.com or from the Meanwhile Finchley Road ning group) for putting an event/exhibition/workshop/project on in the space
4. We make a decision based on content, budget and deliverability of proposals and offer you a tier (see guide prices below). We don’t have any money to put into projects happening, but you are allowed to charge and you will need to show in your budget how you will pay for it
5. You book a date and pay in advance

INSURANCE NOTE:

-      IF YOU’RE INVITING THE PUBLIC INTO THE SHOP YOU WILL NEED PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE.

-      YOU WILL NEED YOUR OWN CONTENTS INSURANCE FOR ANY EXPENSIVE ITEMS YOU PLAN TO USE/LEAVE IN THE SPACE

These are guide prices only for the space. Tiers are subject to confirmation with Meanwhile Space CIC on application.
