Free Workshops - New Windows in Willesden Green
In the week before christmas the Pilot Shop on Willesden Green will be offering free workshops to local people. Pop in from 14.00 - 18.00 for lessons in booking binding, letter writing, vintage hair and christmas songs.

Join Meanwhile Space CIC at our pilot shop in Willesden Green for free workshops from the 19th - 22nd December at 45 Walm Lane, London, NW2 4QU.
Monday 19th, 14.00 – 18.00, Bind your own book - Notebooks and Sketchbooks
During the afternoon workshop students will be shown how to make their own one-of-a-kind books from start to finish. Using traditional bookbinding techniques that have been around for centuries, an array of patterned papers and recycled materials will be cut,folded and bound to create unique and personal gifts. All tools and materials will be provided during the class.
Tuesday 20th, 14.00 – 18.00, Vintage Christmas glamour
Lena Weber, editor of online city guide The Vintage Guide to London, will run an afternoon of vintage hair and make-up drop-in sessions. Pop in and learn how to do 40s Victory Rolls, discover how to do 20s flapper make-up, copy Audrey Hepburn'sBreakfast At Tiffany's up-do and find out how to do Twiggy's 60s mod look. Learn these and many other looks, get some vintage beauty and shopping advice and find out more about different vintage eras so you'll be well equipped to add some vintage glamour for your Christmas party. All drop-in sessions are free.

Wednesday 21st, 14.00 – 17.30, Festive Card writing
Come join us at MIEN Magazine's Charm School at Meanwhile's Willesden location.
The Mistress of Manners will be hosting a festive card session with lovely stationery on hand. Write your holiday greetings to friends and family, and remember what it feels like to put pen to paper rather than sending simple digital missives.

Ditch those heavy bags and get in the seasonal swing with our Singing Shoppers Christmas Choir!
The perfect pick-me-up for tired feet and frazzled nerves, Singing Shoppers will have you restored to Christmas cheer in no time. All ages, voices and abilities welcome, there's no prep, and you don't need any singing experience. We'll simply learn a couple of Christmas numbers on the spot during the hour-long workshop.
Turn up, breathe in, and sing out in fun, festive harmony!
